Lexmark E460DN network printer: can ping, but not print?

if you can ping, but not communicate, with this Lexmark printer or some similar model, look in the network configuration printout for „Restricted Server List“. If this setting is not empty, you can not reset with a factory reset! Instead, you have to connect your printer directly to your PC with an ethernet cable.

Change your PC’s network settings to a static IP (not the same IP) within this range, and configure your printer to a different static IP in the same subnet. Enable the web interface in the printer network menu and open your printer’s IP your web browser. There you can change the field.
